A little about our club.....
When the courts were dedicated in April of 2018, a small group of us went to the opening to see what pickleball was about. We started playing every chance we could with a group of like-minded people and Eastern Oak Pickleball Club was born. The club officially started in January 2019, when 45 people attended our first board meeting.
When word spread about the desire to start a club, we quickly established an email list of over 200 people interested in membership. Once we became a nonprofit organization, we agreed upon these foundational beliefs:
First, we are working with the Mission Oaks Recreation and Park District (MORPD) to advocate for improvements to the pickleball courts. These improvements include but are not limited to:

-
Court lighting
-
Shade structures
-
Seating areas
-
Purchasing replacement nets and windscreens as needed
Secondly, we would like to do community outreach to schools to promote the growth of Pickleball.
Lastly, we would like to establish a scholarship fund for underprivileged youth in our community whose families cannot afford to pay for sports programs. We believe that young people who have the opportunity to play sports learn important developmental values like sportsmanship, teamwork, and leadership.
We hope you will join us!
